Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commiserated with Chief Mrs. Teju Phillips, Chairman of the Board of Lasaco Assurance Plc, over the death of her husband, Engineer Olanrewaju Phillips.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Engr. Phillips passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 76.
In a post on his social media handles shortly after a visit to the widow, Governor Sanwo-Olu prayed for God to give the bereaved family, especially the wife and children, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He wrote, “I paid a condolence visit to Chief Mrs. Teju Phillips to commiserate with her on the passing of her husband, Engineer Olanrewaju Phillips.
“I offered my support during this difficult time and hope those he left behind find comfort in the loving memories they shared and the support of family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.”
EKO HOT BLOG earlier reported that the deceased’s final journey will begin on October 30, 2024, with a Service of Songs at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina.
The widow, Teju Phillip is the only child from the union of the late Ambassador Antonio Dehinde Fernandez from the Olumegbon Family of Isale-Eko, Lagos Island, Lagos State and Princess Ibilola Lipede.
