EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Committee, stated on Thursday that all actions taken in his absence by the CECPC acting Chairman, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State, remain valid.
Buni made the clarification after several reports (not The PUNCH) claimed that he dropped Bello’s national convention sub-committee list in an apparent move to assert his leadership following the President’s (retd.) endorsement.

It was previously reported that Buhari put his foot down on Wednesday, insisting that Buni be allowed to continue as party chairman following a botched attempt by APC governors to remove him after he (Buni) left the country for medical treatment.
However, in a rebuttal shared on Thursday by Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, Buni questioned reports that all actions taken by Bello while he was absent had been reversed.
In the refutal statement, he personally signed, Buni, who is also the Yobe State Governor, affirmed that “all activities that were done in my absence remain valid and binding”.
