Governor Fubara Urges New Appointees To Serve With Integrity
Eko Hot Blog reports Governor Siminilayi Fubara of Rivers State has issued a stern warning to reappointed commissioners who are loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, urging them not to use their positions to undermine his administration.

The governor made these remarks during the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief of Staff, Mr. Edison Ehie, and five special advisers in Port Harcourt.
Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of the new appointees not using their privileged positions to antagonize anyone and urged them to see their appointment as a call to duty. He stressed the need for them to add value to governance and demonstrate their credibility.
The governor reminded them that their success is attributed to the grace of God and cautioned against using their positions to settle personal scores.
During the ceremony, Governor Fubara directed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to assign responsibilities to the commissioners who were sworn in the previous week.
However, he emphasized that the reappointed commissioners should not use their positions to work against his government but rather contribute to its success.
The governor concluded by stating, “Whatever it is that you’re doing, it is not about me. It is about the things that you can stand to defend and be proud of many years after.”
