Governor Ganduje Promises Justice For Kidnapped Victims

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has promised to see that justice is done for the 9 children, victims of kidnapping, assuring that all legal instruments would be used to address the situation squarely.

This was contained in a media statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor Malam Abba Anwar And was made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

He assured the people the state that the arrested kidnappers, who allegedly participated in the heinous act, along with their accomplices would be prosecuted so that they face all legal consequences.

The Governor maintained that protection of human rights, irrespective of age, ethnicity, religious or political affiliations, was a strong pillar as a vital responsibility of any government, hence no criminal will go scot-free.

He said Government will invite the parents of those rescued from the alleged kidnappers for further discussion and relationship.

Ganduje pointed out that a  powerful committee is in the pipeline to see to the root cause of this and find a lasting solution to it and similar criminal activities.

He commended all the security agencies for the role they played in rescuing the kids and called on the members of the public to continue cooperating with the security agencies, so as to have safer and more peaceful Kano.

The governor charged Parents to always be extra vigilant on the movement of their children, aimed at having a crime-free society
