EKOHOTBLOG reports that Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has described the death of the late Ajiroba of Lagos, Chief Rasheed Alaba Williams, as a great loss to the state and Nigeria.
The late Ajiroba of Lagos was pronounced dead in Lagos in the early hours of Monday at the age of 85.
The late insurance expert and administrator was buried on Monday according to Islamic rites
However, Governor Sanwo-Olu while reacting to the demise of Williams via a condolence message issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, said the deceased lived a good life and served humanity.

The governor added that the late Ajiroba of Lagos effectively combined work and social life in a way that impacted the state and the nation positively.
He said, “The late Alhaji Rasheed Alaba Williams lived a very good life. His demise, though a great loss to our dear state, should be celebrated.
“He served Lagos meritoriously as a member of the Constituent Assembly, representing the Lagos Island Local Government. He also contributed his quota to the growth and development of Lagos in different capacities,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
The governor, therefore, condoled with Williams’ family and friends and asked God to give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
