Governor Sanwo-Olu Unveils Modern Emergency Centre in Epe

Epe Local Government Area witnessed a historic moment today as the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, officially commissioned and handed over a world-class Accident and Emergency (A&E) Centre at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Epe.

Ekohotblog reports that the ultramodern emergency facility was delivered through a strategic collaboration between the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Custodian Social Responsibility Foundation (CSRF), marking a significant milestone in the quest to strengthen emergency healthcare delivery in underserved communities.

Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to building a resilient and inclusive healthcare system across all divisions of the state.

“Our goal is to ensure that every citizen, regardless of location, has access to prompt and quality medical attention. This facility is a clear testament to what we can achieve through strategic partnerships with the private sector. I commend CSRF for their vision and dedication,” the governor said.

He described the partnership as a model of public-private collaboration capable of accelerating infrastructure development, particularly in the health sector.

The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the governor and CSRF for the landmark project, describing it as a long-awaited dream fulfilled for the people of Epe.

“This center is more than just a building—it represents hope, progress, and a commitment to saving lives,” she said. “We are deeply thankful to our visionary Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and to CSRF for bringing this vision to reality. On behalf of the good people of Epe, we pledge to preserve and protect this legacy.”

The newly inaugurated A&E Centre is equipped with advanced medical technologies and will operate 24/7 to provide rapid response and critical care to accident and trauma patients across Epe and adjoining communities. It forms a key component of the state’s broader agenda to decentralize healthcare and make quality services accessible to all.

Present at the ceremony were top officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Health, executives from CSRF, traditional rulers, healthcare professionals, and jubilant members of the Epe community.
