At the meeting, the governors engaged in consultations with state Attorneys-General to examine proposed constitutional amendments, particularly those relating to state policing and the legal framework required for its implementation.

The Forum stressed that any state police structure must be constitutionally backed, consistent with federal principles, and protective of citizens’ rights, while noting that ongoing consultations would help shape a unified position among the states.
Governors also received a briefing from the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning on progress made under the National Nutrition 774 (N-774) Initiative, and reiterated their support for efforts aimed at reducing child malnutrition and improving nutrition outcomes nationwide.
They further reviewed the National Nutrition Bill, encouraging sustained collaboration with relevant stakeholders to strengthen policy and legislative frameworks guiding nutrition governance in the country.
In addition, the Forum was updated by the World Bank Country Office on the proposed Country Partnership Framework (2026–2032) as well as the Nigeria Sustainable Agricultural Value Chains for Growth (AGROW) programme, which focuses on improving agricultural productivity, strengthening value chains, enhancing food security, and supporting early childhood development.

Governors expressed support for continued partnership with the Federal Government, the World Bank, and other development partners to ensure effective implementation of these initiatives, while approving targeted state-level interventions across key sectors.
The Forum also emphasized stronger coordination in critical areas such as health, education, water and sanitation, social protection, and family support systems to improve service delivery across states.
On energy reforms, governors discussed the National Solar Super-Grid initiative, which aims to expand electricity access through decentralized solar power generation integrated with a national transmission network.
They noted that the project has the potential to boost industrial growth, improve energy security, and expand electricity access across the country.
Reaffirming their position, the governors pledged continued commitment to power sector reforms and enhanced collaboration with stakeholders to deliver affordable and reliable electricity to Nigerians.
