EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chelsea Football Club is facing intense scrutiny over the future of its manager, Graham Potter, as the team struggles to find its footing in the English Premier League.

This has fueled rumors about Flick potentially taking over the role of the Chelsea manager if Potter is sacked.

Potter, who was appointed as the manager in September following Thomas Tuchel’s departure, has struggled to turn the team’s fortunes around.
He has only managed to secure nine wins in his opening 22 games, resulting in Chelsea sitting in ninth place in the league table, 10 points away from the top four. The club’s recent spending of over £320 million on nine new players in the January transfer window has only added pressure to the team’s results.
Despite the rumors, the Chelsea board has promised Potter that he has time to build his own team and implement his ideas, but with Flick’s future as the Germany national team manager under question, the media speculation about his potential appointment at Chelsea persists.
Flick, who has previously won multiple titles including two Bundesliga titles, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup, was also spotted watching Chelsea’s game against Manchester City last season.
Some believe that Flick’s visit to Stamford Bridge could have been to meet with the club’s new American owner, Todd Boehly.
Germany’s disappointing performance in the recent World Cup in Qatar has put Flick’s position as the national team manager in jeopardy, which could make him available for a return to club football, specifically at Chelsea.
Potter, however, remains confident in his ability to bring success back to Chelsea.
In a recent statement, he said:
“I know the responsibility we have here. But also I know that I am capable, and I know the quality that I have and I have the full support of certainly the owners, the players, and the staff here.”
