EKO HOT BLOG reports that ahead of their Premier League tie with Leeds United on Saturday, Chelsea boss Graham Potter has provided updates on the fitness of several key players.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Potter revealed that Thiago Silva is nearing a return to action, but couldn’t provide an exact timeline for the defender’s recovery.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is making progress in his rehabilitation, but it remains unclear when he will be fit to play again.
N’Golo Kante, who has been struggling with a fitness issue, took part in his first full training session on Friday. However, Potter indicated that the midfielder will still need more time to regain full fitness.
Mason Mount has been suffering from a lower abdomen issue and will not be available for the match against Leeds United on Saturday.
Reece James, who has been an integral part of Chelsea’s defence this season, is also doubtful for the game. The defender is currently being assessed for tightness in his hamstring, and his availability for the match remains uncertain.
Finally, Cesar Azpilicueta has made progress in his recovery from a head injury but is still going through protocols before he can return to the pitch.
Chelsea will face Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, with kick-off scheduled for 4 pm. The Blues will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League and consolidate their position in the top four of the table.
