Group faults S/West govs on ‘Amotekun’, demands proper legal framework

A civil society group known as the Societal Safety Network, has faulted the regional security network set up by governors of the south west to curb insecurity.

The group alleged that the operation of this security arrangement could endanger the lives of people of yoruba ethnic origin, living in other parts of the country.

The group lauded the initiative and intented purpose of the action plan on the security and economy of the region but expressed great reservation about the hurried nature of setting up amotekun without a proper legal fanr work and a precise transparent mode of operation
