Guardiola Reveals Reason Behind Touchline Clash With Solskjaer During Derby Match

  • Manchester United enjoyed a 2-0 victory over local rivals Manchester City in the Manchester derby played on Sunday.
  • An early goal from Bruno Fernandes and a second half goal from Luke Shaw was enough to hand Man City their first defeat after 21 games.
  • Manchester United are just second behind City, with an eleven points difference between the two Manchester clubs.

During the match, there was a heated touchline row between Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunner Solskjaer, the two coaches have become more than rivals, with Solskjaer always getting the better side of Guardiola.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG   , Guardiola swapped words with his counterpart after a quick City throwing prevented Mason Greenwood from entering for injured Marcus Rashford.

Solskjaer protested with waving arms before Mason Greenwood eventually came on. After the game Guardiola defended himself and his Man City team by saying that the problem has already been solved. He said,

“Ah, no problem, no problem – it’s solved.”

Solskjaer became the first United manager to win three consecutive away Manchester derby match and also the manger with a higher win percent against Guardiola.
