Gunmen Abduct Makinde’s Aide, Benedict Akika in Oyo

Gunmen have reportedly abducted Otunba Benedict Akika, a prominent ally of Governor Seyi Makinde and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.

The abduction occurred late Wednesday night at Olohundaaba in the Lagelu Local Government Area of the state.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Akika, commonly known as “Benee,” was taken from his residence at Idi-Ape along the Akobo Ojurin-Olohunda road in Ibadan EKO HOT BLOG learnt.

There are also unverified claims that one person was killed during the incident.

At the time of reporting, details about the kidnapping remain unclear, but relevant authorities have stated they are actively addressing the situation.
