EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunmen on Tuesday night reportedly killed several persons during an invasion of the newly constructed Abia cattle market in Omumauzor in Ukwa West local government area of Abia State.
It was gathered that the midnight attack kept the villagers apprehensive.

Reports, however, say that security operatives have taken over the area to maintain peace.
Recall that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had,a week ago, said that its earlier decision banning the movement and consumption of Fulani cows in the South-East from April 2022 still stands.
It said it would no longer tolerate the “criminal” silence and the failure of the Federal Government to protect its territories against attacks.
IPOB, while advising those dealing in Fulani cow meat to look for alternative before the April due date, said the decision was in the collective interest of the South-East people.
