Eko Hot Blog reports that gunmen attacked a convoy conveying Apostle Johnson Suleman, the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International.
This medium gathered that the attack occurred in Auchi area of Edo state on Friday evening.
The police confirmed that six persons were killed in the attack, including three policemen.
According to Chidi Nwabuzor, Edo police spokesman, two civilian drivers and a female domestic worker were amongst the deceased. He noted that the whereabouts of a female domestic staff was unknown.

Nwabuzor stated that police operatives have launched an “aggressive” manhunt for the attackers.
“At about 1700 hours, the man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman, and his convoy were attacked at Auchi, Edo state, while returning from Benin City,” he said.
“During the attack, the unknown hoodlums killed three policemen attached to him, two civilian drivers, a female domestic staff, while another female domestic staff is not yet seen.
“As soon as the divisional police officer in charge of Auchi and his men heard about the attack, they swung into action, moved into the scene.The hoodlums, on sighting the police, engaged them in a gun duel, and due to the superior firepower of the police, one of the hoodlums was gunned down, and one of the vehicles they used was recovered.
“As we speak, the divisional police officer and the men in charge of Auchi division are on a serious and aggressive manhunt for the arrest of the fleeing hoodlums.”
