This online media platform had earlier reported that the incident led to the death of four police operatives.

Ohakim speaking on the attack on his convoy claimed that the gunmen had the intention of killing him in the attack, but they managed to escape.

The former Governor of Imo State disclosed that he would have lost his life if not for his driver and the bulletproof car he rode in.

On the latest attack in the state, a community source that spoke with Punch said that the attackers stormed the police station and threw explosives on the facility, and it burnt.

A further report revealed that no police operatives were on duty when the gunmen invaded the facility.

The source said, “The police station in my community has been burnt. It was burnt last night. Nobody could come out because of fear. As we speak, the area is deserted.”
