A local resident, who spoke to The Punch on condition of anonymity, described the harrowing event: “The woman was coming back from church around 7 p.m. when the gunmen seized her.
I know her well; she’s a senior nurse at Babcock University Teaching Hospital and a member of Winners’ Chapel. They pulled her out of her vehicle and drove off with her in a red Toyota car. It was like a scene from a nightmare, and such violence has never happened in our neighborhood. It’s both alarming and frightening.”
Dr. Joshua Suleiman, Director of Communication and Marketing at Babcock University, confirmed the abduction and stated that the university is working to gather more information.
“I heard about it last night. It has been reported on one of our university platforms, but I don’t have a full report yet. Someone is working on obtaining more details, and I will update you as soon as we have more information,” Suleiman said.
