BREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap Over 20 Medical Students Going to Enugu Convention in Benue
Gunmen have abducted more than 20 medical and dental students, along with a House Officer, in Benue State.
The group was on their way to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention in Enugu when they were ambushed by the assailants around 5:30 p.m. in the Otukpo area of the state.

The students, who are from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos, were traveling together at the time of the attack.
SP Catherine Anene, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway.

“Yes, the kidnapping report is accurate. We received the report between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and an investigation is currently in progress,” she said.
