Gunmen Kidnap Rivers Revenue Director Fubara in Port Harcourt

Gunmen have abducted Sir Aribibia John Fubara, a director with the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service, in Port Harcourt.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the assailants, reportedly six in number, arrived on a speedboat and kidnapped Fubara from the Marine Base Area of the city, firing shots into the air before fleeing to an unknown location.

Emmanuel Fubara, the victim’s younger brother, confirmed the abduction and stated that the incident has been officially reported to the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the development, stating that the police command is aware of the situation.

She added that the Commissioner of Police has directed tactical units to ensure the victim’s safe release and has launched a manhunt to apprehend the perpetrators.
