EKO HOT BLOG reports that unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a United States of America (USA) returnee in Kwara State.
The victim, Muritala Adebayo, is an indigene of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that Adebayo was kidnapped on his farm located at Pampo, Asa Local Government Area of the state, last Thursday.
An eyewitness disclosed that “We were all at the farm when suddenly we started hearing sporadic gunshots and we all scampered for safety.
“Some few minutes later, we learnt the owner of a neighbouring farm had been kidnapped,” the source said.
EKO HOT BLOG further learnt that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N100 million to secure the release of the U.S returnee.

Sources in the family also confirmed that the abductors had contacted them, noting that the kidnappers demanded N100 million for his release.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was further confirmed by the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Okasanmi Ajayi, saying the command got a distress call from a member of the victim’s family on Thursday night.
“Immediately, the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega, deployed a team of investigators to the scene of the incident on Friday. The investigators combed everywhere in and around the farm.
“The command is doing everything possible to ensure the safe rescue of the victim and the arrest of the suspected abductors,” the police spokesman said.
