At least four people have been killed by gunmen and another 50 abducted in Goran Namaye town in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara.
The state police command while confirming the attack on Monday August 23, said the attackers raided the town around midnight on Sunday August 22, in large numbers.
Zamfara state police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu added that the police tactical operatives had been deployed to the area.
