Undoubtedly long life is a gift from God but our habits and lifestyle has a huge role to play in determining whether we live long or not. A healthy lifestyle may promote long life and good health while a bad lifestyle may hasten early death.

1. Sedentary lifestyle

3. Alcoholism
Excessive consumption of alcohol is referred to as alcoholism. This is dangerous for the body, moderate drinking may not be as bad.
According to research, you are allowed to drink for 2-3 days a week, with an average of glass alone, anything more than that would cause serious damage in the long run.
4. Eating junk foods
We all know what we eat goes a long way in determining our health status. If you are one of those people fond of eating junk daily and even prefer it over normal food, sorry to say, but you are damaging your health.
Too much processed sugar, carbohydrates and fat is bad for the system.
Eat healthy foods like; whole grains, fruits and vegetables, lean meat, fish, poultry and olive oil.

5. Staying up late.

According to research, you need to put in 7 to 9 hours of sleep every day. This will enable your system to work better, and increase your life span.
