Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Hammed Seriki, son of the Epe Community leader, Alhaji Seriki Akanni Bamu, popularly known as Baba Bamu, has shed light on the profound significance of his father’s 85th birthday commemoration.
Hon. Seriki spoke on Friday at the prayer programme commemorating his father’s Birthday.
In an exclusive interview with Eko Hot Blog, he expressed his father’s gratitude for attaining the milestone age in good health.
“Today marks a momentous occasion for our family and the entire Epe community as we gather to celebrate my father’s 85th birthday,” Seriki began, his voice resonating with pride and admiration.
“Above all, my father is deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for granting him another year of life, and he wishes to express his humility and thankfulness through a day devoted entirely to prayer at our home.”
Seriki emphasized the solemnity of his father’s dedication to prayer, noting that it reflects Baba Bamu’s profound spiritual connection and appreciation for the blessings bestowed upon him.
“For my father, prayer is not just a routine, but a deeply personal expression of gratitude and reverence,” he explained.
Turning to the festivities planned for Saturday at the Epe Jubilee Charlet, Seriki spoke with enthusiasm about the entertainment lineup, which includes the renowned Fuji musician King Saheed Osupa, symbolic cake-cutting, and a documentary showcasing his father’s impactful journey.
“Saturday will be a day of joyous celebration, where we come together as a community to honor my father’s legacy and rejoice in his achievements,” Seriki remarked.
He also highlighted the esteemed guests invited to the celebration, including dignitaries such as Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, and Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Mrs. Oyedele, among others.
“Their presence underscores the significance of my father’s contributions to our community and beyond,” Seriki stated proudly.
In discussing the philanthropic aspect of the commemoration, Seriki revealed that the Bamu Foundation would donate an ambulance to assist emergency responses within the Epe Division.
“This gesture exemplifies my father’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of our community,” he affirmed.
As the interview concluded, Seriki expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to honor his father’s legacy.
“My father’s life is a testament to the values of humility, service, and compassion. On behalf of our family, I extend our deepest appreciation to all who have joined us in celebrating this special milestone,” he added warmly.
