- The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as the chairman of its committee for the forthcoming Local government elections scheduled to hold in July.
- Hamzat said the APC takes every election serious and will do everything possible to win the local government election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as the chairman of its committee for the forthcoming Local government elections scheduled to hold in July.
The secretary of the Committee is Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, the Lagos APC Secretary.
Announcing the membership of the commitee at the APC secretariat, ACME road Ogba, the party chairman, Hon. Tunde Balogun, said the committee whose members are picked across the three senatorial districts are to put the party in good shape ahead of the elections
“We are pleased to announce the Committee for the conduct of local government election. The committee will be headed by no other person than the Deputy governor of Lagos state, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

“Other members of the Committee are Dr. Oluranti Adebule, immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Olanrewaju Ogunyemi Barr. Ademola Sodiq, the Lagos APC Legal Adviser.
“Hon. Olawale Oshun; Daramola Abayomi; Ganiyu Sodiq ( representing Lagos Central); Mr Ademola Olisa; F.O. Lasisi; Adeniyi Kehinde (Lagos East); Olabode Olaniyan; S. A. Shekoni; Barr. Tunde Lawal; Barr. Gani Bello.”
Responding, Hamzat said the APC takes every election serious and will do everything possible to win the local government election.
“Our party takes election very serious and we always like to improve on past elections. We understand Lagos more than the other 17 political parties,” he said.
