Hardship: Lagos Students Sit Out Nationwide Protest
Lagos State students, led by NULASS President Alimi Lekan-Idris, opt out of the nationwide protest scheduled for August 1, urging dialogue instead.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Students enrolled in tertiary institutions in Lagos State have expressed their stance on the planned nationwide protest set to begin on August 1.
Nigerians, particularly the youths, have pledged to organize mass protests from August 1 to August 10, aiming to highlight the hardships faced by the populace.

Organizers expect participants to assemble at state government residences nationwide and the National Assembly complex in Abuja to voice their grievances.
However, the President of the National Association of Lagos State Students (NULASS), Alimi Lekan-Idris, has announced that the students will not be participating in the protest. During a press conference at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital College of Medicine, Ikeja, Alimi urged Nigerian youths to adopt a path of dialogue.
“It is crucial that we remember the importance of peace and stability and use dialogue to achieve our collective goals. Given the significant contributions and progress we have witnessed, we wish to state that we are not in support of any protest against the government of Lagos State,” Alimi stated.
