Kai Havertz’s wife, Sophia, has shared disturbing screenshots of online abuse she received after Arsenal’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United on Sunday, including threats to their unborn child.
The 25-year-old striker missed a key opportunity to win the match in normal time and had his penalty saved during the shootout, as United triumphed 5-3 after a 1-1 draw.

Sophia posted two offensive direct messages to her Instagram story, expressing her shock and frustration. Arsenal has reported the abuse to the police and is collaborating with a data firm to track down the perpetrators.
Sophia shared one message with the caption: “For anyone to think it’s okay to write something like this is so shocking to me. I hope you are so ashamed of yourself.” She added a second message, saying: “I’m not sure what to even say, but please guys, be more respectful. We are better than this.”
The couple, married in 2023, has been together since 2018, and Sophia announced her pregnancy in November. BBC Sport has reached out to the Metropolitan Police for comment.
