Eko Hot Blog reports that members of the Rotary Club of Maryland, Ikeja, have paid glowing tributes to Late Prince Adetoyese Olamide Arimoro.
The deceased died earlier in March 2023 in Texas, United States.
The touching tributes were published in the latest issue of the Rotary Club of Maryland’s magazine, Hope Bulletin.
In his tribute, the bulletin’s editor described the late Prince Arimoro as a jovial person who lit up any room he entered.
Besides being a loving person, the editor described the deceased as a selfless person when he was alive.
“Lived a life of selfless service while here with us and with him there was never a dull moment. He was loving to be with and always created fun time with others hence the nickname “Bashorun Igbaladun of Rotamary’.
“You will forever be missed by all of us in Rotamary. We love you but God loves you most. Rest in Peace.”
On his part, PP Kareem Arigbabu, expressed profound sadness at the demise of his brother and friend.
“It’s so sad that, losing my brother, my friend at this time when we have a lot laying ahead of us. So sad. You have so many things you have drawn down to be accomplished which you have left unaccomplished. Oh God, I know we love you but your creator loves you more. How do I explain this to Iya Ijesha?” Arigbabu wrote.
PP Adewale Sanni also described Arimoro’s death as “extremely sad and painful.”
“We spoke few weeks ago with so much energy and fun. This is unfortunate. May God grant you eternal rest and give your immediate family and Rotamary the fortitude to bear the loss,” Sanni said.
DGND Henry Akinyele, who was the president of the Rotary Club of Maryland, Ikeja, when the late Arimoro joined in 2006, described the deceased as a resourceful member of the club.
“What a sad news! Olumide was a vibrant and resourceful member of our club. He joined Rotamary in 2006 when I was the President and served in various capacities until he relocated to the United States.
“His social acumen and gregarious attribute made us nicknamed him Bashorun Igbaladun of our club. It is so sad that death took Olumide from our midst at his prime age. May the Lord rest his soul and be with the family and friends he left behind. He will be sorely missed.”
Similarly, Rtn. Seyi Dada mourned Arimoro’s unexpected death, expressing disbelief at the loss.
“I still find it very hard to believe you are gone… So dazed with the heart gripping news of your demise… I recall your visit when I had my surgery and many calls made to me during that period as well as many things shared as friends,” he wrote.
“Paddy mi, it’s so sad and such a worrying mourning moment for all of us and even as a club… Otunba Gbaladun… Orun re o! I pray that God grant your soul perfect rest and gives your family and all of us the fortitude to bear this loss.”
PDG Bola Oyebade, PP Obafemi Obadina, and AG Tunde Olaniyan also joined other members of the Rotary Club of Maryland to mourn their late colleague.
Prince Arimoro’s body will be laid to rest at 2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland Tx 77581, by 1:00pm on Thursday.
He hailed from Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria.
Till his death, he lived in Houston, Texas, US, and worked with the Texas Department of Human Services.
