Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Wale Raji, a member representing Epe Federal Constituency, has expressed sadness over the departure of Chief Ajayi Orimipe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe.
Orimipe died today, January 17, 2024, after a brief illness.
Raji conveyed his condolences through his office to the family, describing him as a father and a dedicated party member.
“On behalf of the office of Rep. Wale Raji and the good people of Epe Federal Constituency, we mourn the departure of a father and dedicated party member, Chief Ajayi Orimipe and commiserate with his family, associates and the people of Epe Federal Constituency,” the lawmaker said.
He further described the deceased as a committed party member who put his best in the interest of the party, expressing the impact his loss would have and rendering heartfelt prayers for his soul.
“He was a committed party member who consistently put in his best in the interest of the party in the past decades,” Raji stated.
“He will be sorely missed in the family, community and in the political circle.
“May God grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and forgive his shortcomings.”
Chief Orimipe, a dedicated member of the ruling party, APC, died on Wednesday, after a brief illness, at the age of 86 years and will be buried today at his residence in Ibonwon.
