Eko Hot Blog reports that Bunmi Shodeko has celebrated the life of her late Chief Jacob Oluranti Shodeko, also known as, Baba Igbore.
Late Chief Shodeko died on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 86, and will be buried on February 10, 2023.
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, Bunmi described her late father as an epitome of humility and altruism whose only religion was love.
She noted that, while it was painful to lose her father, the greater feeling is that of a celebration of an “exemplary life.”
“Of course, losing a loved one is quite painful. This is a celebration of a good and exemplary life,” the deceased’s daughter said.
According to the family’s funeral arrangements, the service of songs/wake keep will hold on Thursday, February 9, 2023, by 4pm. The programme will hold at the deceased’s residence, Igbore House, 33 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Beside Eko Hospital, Ikeja.
The burial service will follow on Friday, February 10, 2023.
While the late Shodeko will lie in state from 8am to 9am at his residence, the church service will start by 10am at The African Church, Lagos Mainland Diocese, St. Michael’s Parish, 4, Jacob Taiwo Street, Off Agege Motor Road, Shogunle, Lagos.
Subsequently, the body of the deceased will be interred privately.
After the interment, the reception of guests will begin by 2pm at 10 Degrees Events Centre, Plot A2, Billingsway Road, Oregun Industrial Estate, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State.
