EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for declaring Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, as the winner of the just-concluded elections.
Onuoha shared her thoughts in a video posted on her Instagram page where she expressed her displeasure over the outcome of the election.
According to the video compilation shared by the actress, Tinubu had said that he will never sit on the presidential throne. Onuoha claimed that Nigeria has been “raped” as a nation and that justice and fairness have been denied. She described the presidential election as a criminal and a sham.
She further expressed her frustration towards INEC, stating that the electoral body had stolen the people’s mandate. She concluded by saying that Tinubu is not her president.
INEC declared Tinubu as the president-elect in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1. The former Lagos State governor defeated his counterparts, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a tight race. Tinubu scored 8,805,420 votes to emerge victorious.
The declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect has caused mixed reactions among Nigerians. Some have congratulated him, while others have criticized INEC for its handling of the election. Onuoha’s video has also sparked conversations on social media platforms.
She wrote: “You will never sit on this throne Tinubu. Lord we’ve been raped as a nation and denied justice and fairness How? This is criminal… This is a sham NOT my President @inecnigeria you stole our mandate.”
