Carryout advisory role by assisting the Institute in the formulation and implementation of research, training and development on Sugar Engineering & Sugar Technology
Coordinate the department in designing and formulating relevant research programs
Requirements
First degree / MSc in Agricultural Science, Agric Extension or related degree
Minimum of 20 years practical field/industrial practical experience in Sugarcane Agriculture
PhD in any field of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy or related field.
PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology, genetic engineering/molecular biology, a good understanding of sugarcane genetics
Fellow/member of relevant professional bodies
Thorough knowledge of Agricultural technologies
Knowledge of agronomic techniques and skills to improve productivity, food security and livelihoods desirable.
