EkohotBlog reports that this afternoon, around noon, the Nigerian Police of Division C Headquarters discovered an unidentified dead body of a middle-aged man in Niger Street, Ilorin.

The corpse was discovered by a shop owner who notified the police of the strange body.
The shop owner narrated to newsmen and the police that on arrival to shop, the headless body was found among the heaps of dirt beside the shop.
In a statement, the shop owner who also served as eye witness explained that “I got to shop around noon to go by my daily business and I found the heap of dirt at my door thinking it was refuse washed by yesterday heavy downpour, only to discover it was a dead body.”
Police have commenced investigations, the body remains unidentified as the head was missing when the dead body was discovered. This sent panic to residents of the area, the Nigerian Police gave assurance of returning calm to the area.
