“Heal Our Land!” Nigerians Turn To God In Prayers

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Good evening to you.
It is my pleasure to bring you God’s Word this evening.
I am sure you are not oblivious of the recent happenings around the globe, in Lagos especially.
From Coronavirus, to lockdown, to hardship and hunger, to crime increase.
May God never leave us unprotected.
Just yesterday night, I could not sleep. Why? The youths, men and landlords were keeping vigils and acting as vigilantes to secure their lives and families.
As I laid awake, I pondered. Is God alive? Yes He is. He arose two days ago. He is aware of everything going on. He sees how the government has made life unfair for citizens. He sees how miscreants and hoodlums terrorize innocent civilians. He sees everything. Someone might ask, Why Is He Silent? He is silent because he wants us to call upon Him in prayer.
A little look at my text again. It says that if we humble our selves and pray and seek His Face…
When last have you prayed for this nation? When have you gone down on your knees and ask for God’s intervention in the affairs of Nigeria? Well, incase you do not know, that is what God is waiting for. He is waiting for our sincere prayers and supplications. He is waiting for us to turn to Him and seek Him. Because when we do that, He is moved and will definitely respond.
Another thing God is waiting on is for us to turn from our evil ways.. Kai! This is one of the reasons we’re having these problems. Sin brings problems, disasters, calamities, etc.
But Jesus Christ died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary, that is why you and I have to flee from sin if we need peace in our land!
God gets irritated with sin and it can hinder blessings and Breakthrough.
When we turn from our evil ways, God will listen to our prayers, because if we pray in sin, it is an abomination to God.
Hmmmm, dearly beloved.
God is willing to heal the Earth and restore peace to the world.
But can we humble our selves in repentance and prayer?
It is ok for us to cast and bind, but can we make things right with God first?
Human efforts cannot save us! It is only God that can, because His Word says if the Lord doesn’t watch over a city, they that do it watch over it in vain.
It is only Him we look up to.
Beloved, let’s turn to God in these prayers:
Our Father in Heaven, Halloweth be thy name. We bless you for the gift of life and we appreciate you for your protection and love.
Lord we admit we have sinned, we admit we have gone astray. Lord have mercy on us. We have come this evening to seek Your Face.. Heal our Land! Heal the world! Heal the Earth! Heal Nigeria! Show us Mercy! Grant us grace! Forgive us! Remember us for the sake of those you love! Do not turn your back from us! We cry Abba Father!!
Your children are calling upon you Lord! Please hear from heaven and come to our aid! We have no helper but you.. I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from where cometh my help! My help cometh from God who made the Heavens and the Earth! You will not suffer our feet to be moved! O God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! Hearken unto our cry… and deliver us!……
