Heavy Rainfall Cuts Off Major Section of Kano-Maiduguri Expressway

Heavy rainfall has severed a crucial section of the Kano-Maiduguri Expressway at Malori-Guskuri, a community in the Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

This development has rendered the road impassable, forcing motorists to seek alternative routes.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that during a visit to the site on Thursday, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, noted the road’s importance as a vital connection between the North-West and North-East regions of Nigeria.

He urged the Federal Government to intervene swiftly and repair the damaged section to facilitate the smooth transportation of goods and services, which is essential for the well-being of the citizens.

Governor Mohammed stressed the urgency of federal intervention to prevent further disruptions and associated hardships on the highway.

He also mentioned that his administration is planning measures to maintain some of the federal roads in the state as the rainy season continues.
