EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, TASUED, Monday, trooped out in their numbers and blocked the busy Benin-ore expressway in protest.
This news gathered that scores of the students prevented vehicular movement along the benin-ore Expressway in protest against the prolonged strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The students, who converged on the busy road, said they could not afford to continue staying at home, while the Federal Government reneges in acceding to demands of the striking lecturers.
According to a tweet by Eons Intelligence, “the protesters converged around Ijagun Junction along Ijebu-Ore axis of the Sagamu-Expressway. No movement right now”, the source said.
“If coming from Lagos, use Epe-Ijebu-Ode Rd or Enter thru Ijebu-Ode town & navigate into Ijebu-Imushin to Ogbere axis to join the expressway. Avoid confrontation with the protestenow.
The students have vowed to continue the protest until their demands were met by the Federal Government.
