EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, recently expressed his support for Orji Uzor Kalu as the next Senate President.
In his recommendation, he expressed confidence that under Kalu’s leadership, the 10th Senate would be in competent hands and that he would be loyal to Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fani-Kayode described Kalu as a seasoned, brilliant, courageous, tough, wise, and experienced public officer. He also stated that Kalu’s choice, alongside Sani Musa, as Deputy Senate President would be an innovative and refreshing decision. He expressed belief that this extraordinary combination would give the opposition sleepless nights, while making the Senate strong, bold, and reliable.
In a tweet, Fani-Kayode said: “Senator Orji Kalu and Senator Sani Musa are both very close to me and I am proud to call them my brothers. I believe that the Nigerian Senate would be safe hands in their hands as Senate President and Deputy Senate President.”
He further emphasized that Kalu and Musa’s loyalty to APC and its leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was unambiguous, total and second to none. Fani-Kayode also wished them well in their endeavor, stating that they had not only his support but also that of millions of other party leaders and supporters.
This endorsement from Fani-Kayode comes at a crucial time when the national assembly is preparing for the election of new leaders. The current Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has been widely praised for his leadership style and his effective management of the upper legislative chamber.
