‘He’s Buhari’s Son’, Nigerians Drag VP Osinbajo On Twitter

Thousands of Nigerians have taken to social media to slam Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over his demonstrated loyalty to the person of President Muhammadu Buhari, than the Nigerian constitution and indeed the Nigerian people.

As gathered by EkoHotBlog, the attack on Vice President Osinbajo is not unconnected to the admirable example shown by the Vice President of the United States, Mr. Mike Pence, who demonstrated unflinching respect for the democratic process when he defied his principal, President Donald J. Trump in the noble bid to respect the wishes of the people.

Trump had on Wednesday said Pence had the power to reject a fraudulently chosen elector, a move that would see the ratification of Biden’s victory withheld, but Pence, who also doubles as head of the US senate, said he would go with the constitution as he could not subvert the will of the people, a statement that impeded Trump’s final attempt to overturn the November 3 poll.

In what has been a sharp contrast within the Nigerian political landscape, Nigerians have expressed utmost disappointment in Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is yet to advocate for the cause of the common man despite his status as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

They expressed bitter disappointment, that neither the Vice President’s advocate status nor his position as a clergy has brought any measure of succour to the ordinary Nigerian, rather, Osinbajo has shown demonstrated proclivity to pitch his loyalty with the President against the interest of 200 million misgoverned Nigerians.
