Ekohotblog reports that High Chief Saheed Adeniyi Adenusi has been honored with the prestigious title of Jagun Oba of Epe Land by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe Kingdom.
The colorful ceremony, held at the palace, was filled with joy, traditional displays, and vibrant celebrations by the people of Epe.

The event commenced with traditional rites, after which High Chief Adenusi was formally conferred with the title and adorned with a crown and royal beads, symbolizing his new position.
Several prominent rulers, including the Aladeshoyin of Odo Noforija, the Aladepekun of Odo Egiri, and the Oniladaba of Ladaba, graced the occasion. Drums, songs, and chants filled the air, adding to the cultural splendor of the day.
HRM Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun blessed the new chief, saying:
“We celebrate a man of honor today. May this title give you more strength to serve Epe, and may the ancestors guide and protect you.”
At the reception, many dignitaries, including Hon. Wale Raji, Alhaji Seriki Bami, Commissioner Seriki Ahmed, and Oloja-Elect Abiola Kosoko, praised High Chief Adenusi for his immense contributions to the Epe community.
Hon. Wale Raji described him as a role model and urged young people to emulate his commitment to community growth.
Oloja-Elect Abiola Kosoko commended High Chief Adenusi for his humility and service, highlighting his dedication to upholding the legacy of his late father. He noted:
“His father was a man of great honor, and he did not allow his name to be forgotten. Through his actions and contributions, High Chief Adenusi has shown the same dedication and selflessness. I urge our youth to draw inspiration from this and strive to leave a positive mark in the community.
Kosoko further encouraged the younger generation to focus on hard work, unity, and service to the community, stating:
“The youth must emulate leaders like High Chief Adenusi. By working together and prioritizing Epe’s development, we can achieve great things.”
Hon. Seriki Ahmed echoed these sentiments, celebrating High Chief Adenusi’s efforts and calling on others to follow his example:
“This title is a recognition of his commitment to our community. May it inspire others, especially the youth, to contribute meaningfully to Epe’s progress.”
High Chief Adenusi expressed his gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue working for the development of Epe:
“This honor is a call to do even more for our people. I promise to dedicate myself to the progress of Epe,” he said.
Elders and dignitaries at the event also encouraged the youth to prioritize community service and selflessness. One elder remarked:
“If we all work together, Epe will achieve even greater success.
