High Society Club, Aladeshonyin Celebrate Babatunde Ogunlade On Governor General’s Day

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja, the President General of Heritage Forum, on Saturday graced the annual Governor General’s Day of the High Society Club of Nigeria to celebrate the current governor, Babatunde Ogunlade, in a dignified celebration.

The event also featured the unveiling of the club’s new Guesthouse in Shomolu, Lagos State.

Oba Ogunlaja, who also serves as the patron of the High Society Club of Nigeria, presided over the auspicious occasion.

The monarch was accompanied by a distinguished assembly of royal figures, including Oba Adeshina Sulaimon, Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, and Baale Babatunde Oluwashina Ogunlade, the current Governor General of the club, along with past Governors General and other esteemed members.

Addressing the esteemed gathering, Oba Ogunlaja bestowed heartfelt blessings upon the current Governor General and the members of the High Society Club.

In his speech, he remarked, “This day marks not only the Governor General’s Day but a significant milestone in the Club’s history.

“May this new Guesthouse be a haven for fellowship and shared camaraderie among members and distinguished guests. I offer my prayers for the Club’s prosperity and unity.”

Governor General Ogunlade, during the annual Governor General’s Day and the Guesthouse commissioning, acknowledged the esteemed presence of various royal fathers and chiefs.

Additionally, he paid homage to past Governors General of the High Society Club, highlighting their instrumental contributions to the club’s legacy.

Governor General Ogunlade expressed deep gratitude to the assembled members of his regime, acknowledging their unwavering support and commitment in leading the club to this momentous occasion.

Responding to Oba Ogunlaja’s gracious words, Governor General Ogunlade expressed gratitude, saying, “On behalf of the High Society Club of Nigeria, I am honoured by the Oba’s blessings and support.

“This Guesthouse symbolises our commitment to fostering a space for camaraderie and connection. We pledge to honor the Oba’s words and maintain this establishment as a hub for conviviality and shared camaraderie.”

Amidst the solemn, yet celebratory, atmosphere, Oba Ogunlaja led a moment of prayer, seeking blessings for the High Society Club’s Governor General, the members, and the new establishment.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude and felicitations, as the Aladeshonyin extended best wishes for the club’s continued success and growth, invoking blessings and goodwill for the High Society Club of Nigeria’s future endeavours.
