The Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure and Legislator representing Epe Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Abiodun Tobun has today assured Epe residents of timely and quality delivery of ongoing Lagos State Government projects in Epe and other parts of Lagos.
Hon Tobun who spoke with some youth representatives from Epe, following the recent protest by Epe residents and road users due to the deplorable state of the Lekki-Epe Expressway, and other access roads leading to Epe said the Eleko-Epe stretch of the road has been awarded to Hitech Construction Company and the contractor has since moved to site.
He said the road will be built to stand heavy duty vehicles and last longer in view of the increase in volume of vehicles plying the road.
It would be recalled that Hon. Abiodun Tobun had earlier in the year moved a motion calling on Dangote Group to see road rehabilitation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, and support the state in reconstructing failed roads as the company’s trucks have been hugely responsible for the spoilage of the roads especially those around Epe axis.
Hon Tobun said as the Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure, his committee will ensure that the road project and other ongoing projects in the state are executed with the best practices through quality supervision.
Mr Ayo Salami who spoke on behalf of the youths thanked Hon Tobun for his impact in Education, Sports, Healthcare and Youth empowerment in Epe Constituency 1.

He also commended the Legislator for influencing different projects into the Constituency and however urged him to ensure ongoing projects like the Iraye-Odomola road, Prototype buildings in Epe Grammar School and Epe Girls High School, Mother and Child Centre in Epe General Hospital and other state projects in and around Epe are completed.
In his response, Hon Abiodun Tobun promised to work with his counterpart in Epe Constituency 2, Hon Ogunkelu Sylvester and other prominent members of the community to ensure all the aforementioned projects are completed and new ones are brought into Epe.
He said Governor Babajide Sanwoolu has made it known that his administration is going to complete all ongoing projects he inherited across the state to curb wastage and maximize lean resources for the benefit of Lagosians.
He urged Epe residents to maintain all safety precautions as laid down by the government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and also continue to cooperate with the government to ensure more developmental projects are delivered.
