Hon. Engr. Kenny-Kadri Edu Celebrates 50th Birthday in Grand Style at Jubilee Chalet, Epe

The serene atmosphere of the Jubilee Chalet in Epe came alive on Saturday as Hon. Engr. Kenny-Kadri Edu, former Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government and a one-time aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly, celebrated her 50th birthday in an elaborate and memorable event.
Ekohotblog reports that the celebration, which attracted dignitaries from within and beyond Lagos State, was a reflection of the celebrant’s immense impact across politics, community development, and humanitarian services.

The guest list included former First Lady of Lagos State, Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Ambode; Federal House of Representatives member for Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wale Raji; Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Epe Constituency I, Hon. Abiodun Tobun; Executive Director at the federal level, Hon. Olusegun Olulade (Eleniyan); and former Commissioner, Arc. Abiola Wasiu Anifowoshe, among others.
Also in attendance were members of Epe Club, led by Chief Olayemi Dada; Epe Professional Women Association (EPWA); Epe Club Seventies; members of the Kegites Club; and alumni associations of Lagos State University (LASU), University of Lagos (UNILAG), and Odo-Obara High School.
The Kegites Club, where the celebrant has been an active and dedicated member, entertained the audience with traditional chants and performances. In honor of her commitment and service, the club conferred on her the prestigious title of Life Senior Fellow (LSF), to the applause of guests.
Hon. Wale Raji, who chaired the occasion and led the cake-cutting ceremony, described the celebrant as “a loyal, focused and resourceful woman who has made an indelible mark in politics and many other sectors.” He prayed for God’s continued protection over her and her family.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olusegun Olulade (Eleniyan) praised Hon. Edu’s activism and bold leadership from her university days. “She was a very pragmatic, highly focused, dedicated and trustworthy woman,” he said.
“She was part of the struggle that brought Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu to power as Governor of Lagos State in 1999. As she celebrates 50 today, by the grace of God, she will celebrate 100 and beyond, in good health and with the fulfillment of all her desires.”
Arc. Abiola Wasiu Anifowoshe, Baba Adinni of Epe Division, described the celebrant and her husband, Mr. Faisu Edu, as “a couple of great character, whose kindness and love extend beyond their home.” He noted their humanitarian gestures and prayed for more blessings in their lives.
Chief Olayemi Dada commended Hon. Edu’s service to the community, stating that “she is a beacon of hope and pride to the people of Epe.”
The most touching moment of the event came when her mother, Alhaja Kadri, gave an emotional tribute to her daughter.
“I wholeheartedly appreciate Almighty God,” she said. “Fifty years ago, I gave birth to a daughter of grace. Seeing what she has become today fills my heart with joy.”
The celebration climaxed with a thrilling performance by Fuji icon, Dr. Adewale Ayuba, who lit up the night with energetic music that got guests dancing in celebration.
