In his drive to perform his legislative obligations, honourable Kayode Akiolu has not waver in contributing to discourse and issues that are germane to the betterment of his constituents and growth of his constituency and Lagos as a whole.
Honorable Kayode, who represents Lagos Island federal constituency in Lagos, has, on many occasions, shown his unflinching commitment to the development of Lagos state through his excellent and impressive representation.
The aforementioned qualites are once again brought to bear when the House of Representatives committee on Judiciary, paid an oversight visit to the National Judicial Institute (NJI) Abuja on Monday July 13, 2020.
The quintessential lawmaker used the opportunity to point out the unfairness that is being meted to Lagos state regarding the composition of NJI staff.
Kayode averred that it is unfair to Lagos with its antecedent, pedigree and importance to the nation in the grand scheme of things to have just one indigene among the over 350 staff members.

He noted that Lagos, as the power house of the legal profession ought to have more than one indigene in a Federal establishment like the NJI.
Addressing the lawmaker’s concern, the Institute’s Administrator, Justice P.I. Bozimi, who hosted the committee, assured honourable Kayode the issues he raised will be looked.
Bozimi also briefed the committee on the implementation of the 2020 Appropriation Act.
