Ekohotblog reports that Hon. Ogunkelu Sylvester Oluwadahunsi, representing Epe Constituency II, has embarked on a new phase of road grading across Eredo LCDA to enhance accessibility, ease transportation, and improve the quality of life for residents.
The ongoing project has already seen several roads graded in different communities, including:
Oke-Ilu Quarters, Odo-Shiwola, Old Odo-Shiwola Road,
St. Joseph’s R.C.M & Nazareth College Road, Ibonwon,
Ora Palace Road,
First and Second Phases of Oriyorin Road, Odo-Ragunshi
Balle Street and Town Hall Road, Igboye
Killa Wahab Abiodun Street and Ibrahim S.A Bala Street, Eredo
Ayo Mafimidiwo Street, London Road, Baba Pineapple Street, and Rahmon Street, Odo-Ragunshi
Olajide Falana Crescent, Odo-Ragunshi
D-Rock-M Hotel Road and Yewa Road Phase 2, Imokun
Omotayo Street and Olukorede Street, Odo Egiri
Speaking about the initiative, Hon. Ogunkelu reaffirmed his dedication to addressing infrastructural challenges in Eredo LCDA.
“Our focus is on making life easier for our people by ensuring that critical road networks are accessible. These roads connect vital areas within the LCDA, and improving them will have a ripple effect on transportation, commerce, and daily life,” he said.
Residents have expressed their gratitude for the road grading efforts, commending the lawmaker for his proactive approach to development.
“I’ve lived on Oriyorin Road for years, and this is the first time we’re seeing such improvements. It will make moving around much easier, especially during this festive season,” said Mr. Femi Balogun, a resident of Odo-Ragunshi.
Another resident, Mrs. Ireti Ogunbowale from Igboye, lauded the project, saying, “Town Hall Road is now passable for both vehicles and pedestrians. Hon. Ogunkelu has shown he truly listens to the needs of the people.”
The initiative has also drawn praise from community leaders. A traditional leader in Imokun described the project as timely.
“Roads are the lifeblood of any community, and what Hon. Ogunkelu is doing here is commendable. It is clear he is committed to fostering development in our constituency,” he said.
More roads are set to be graded in the coming weeks, according to Hon. Ogunkelu’s team, who reiterated that this project is only the beginning of broader plans to address infrastructure within Eredo LCDA.
“We are hopeful that these projects will be sustained and expanded,” said Mr. Ahmed from Eredo.
