Hon. Ogunkelu Oluwadahunsi Sylvester Sketel, the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has flagged off a significant road upgrade project in Ward M1, bringing renewed hope to residents of the area.

Ekohotblog reports that the roads currently undergoing transformation include the MOT/Odo-Egiri Road and the Odo omola Road two major routes that have long been in a deplorable state.

Speaking during an inspection of the site, Hon. Ogunkelu emphasized the importance of the project to the wellbeing of his constituents.

“This road project is a direct response to the yearnings of the people. I made a promise to improve infrastructure, and I’m committed to fulfilling it,” he said.

“Better roads mean easier access, improved trade, and safer transport for our communities.”

The development has sparked excitement among residents, who described the intervention as long overdue.

Mrs. Aderonke, a food vendor along the Odo-Egiri axis, expressed her joy.
“We have been crying for help on this road for years. Now that work has started, we are truly grateful to Hon. Sketel. He’s a man of action.”

A motorcycle rider, Mr. Idris , also commended the lawmaker.
“This road used to damage our bikes and slow down business. What Hon. Sketel is doing shows he cares.”

A Youth leader, added,
“Hon. Ogunkelu is showing what real representation looks like. This is not politics as usual this is service.”

Hon. Ogunkelu assured that more developmental projects are in the pipeline for other wards within Epe Constituency II, reaffirming his dedication to equitable growth across the constituency.
