The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, joined distinguished personalities at the Annual Ramadan Lecture hosted by His Excellency, Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele.
Ekohotblog reports that the event, held at the beachfront, Ocean Drive in Orimedu, focused on the theme: “Youth as Agents of Growth and Sustainable Development of Our Community – Islamic Perspective.”

The gathering brought together key political and traditional leaders, including Hon. Bayo Balogun (Member, House of Representatives, Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency), Hon. Oladele Ajayi (Lagos State House of Assembly), and Hon. Raheem Kazeem Adewale (Immediate past LAHA member for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 2).
The Onimedu of Orimedu, HRM Oba Yissa Toheeb Abidemi Oyedele, and the Gbadewolu of Araromi, Oba Lukman Olayemi Arowolo, also graced the occasion alongside the Iya Oba of Orimedu Kingdom, Alhaja Muminat Abiodun Oyedele, and the Chief Imam of Orimedu, Imam Alaruh.

Delivering his lecture, Sheikh Imam Jafar Murtada urged youths to embrace productivity and actively contribute to societal progress. He emphasized that lasting development begins with individuals making meaningful impacts in their communities.
“The future of any society depends on how well its youth are guided and supported.
By being productive and morally upright, we can leave a lasting mark in the sands of time,” he stated.
The lecture series featured insightful contributions from other clerics, who elaborated on the significance of Ramadan and its spiritual interpretations.
Recitations from the Holy Qur’an enriched the program, reinforcing the essence of self-discipline, charity, and community service during the sacred month.
Hon. Olowa, in his remarks, commended Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele for consistently organizing the impactful Ramadan lecture.
He also urged young people to embrace discipline, education, and self-development as tools for sustainable growth.
