A member representing Epe Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Wale Raji, is showing no signs of slowing down in his endeavour to deliver qualitative representation to Epe Federal Constituency as 50 youths selected from the Technical College, Body of Electricians and aspiring technicians from different parts of Epe Federal Constituency have on Friday completed a practical training on solar power systems.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the training was held at the historic Constituency Office of Rep. Wale Raji along T-Junction, Epe.

The Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji, Bashiru Hassan, disclosed that the significance of the training was to introduce experienced and aspiring technicians to the workings of the solar power system, and trends in alternative power generation.

He further disclosed that the initiative will help acquaint the participants with the workings of solar systems and also prepare them for opportunities that abound in the booming solar energy industry, whilst helping them increase their technical know-how and by extension, economic benefits.

Bashir recalled that Rep. Wale Raji recently recorded another unprecedented progress when he facilitated the lighting up of some communities in the division.

“Our thoughtful Federal Lawmaker facilitated the installation of over 300 high-grade solar-powered street lights in different parts of Epe Federal Constituency.

This unprecedented development has attracted several commendations and also requests from constituents”

“Therefore, the training will expose participants to different opportunities and also equip them with the ability to install, upgrade and repair solar systems,” he said.

Bashir disclosed that the training is one of the series of training lined up in partnership with a Federal Government Agency saddled with the responsibility of promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

He recalled that the agency recently backed the training of over 60 youths in food and confectionery products in Epe Federal Constituency courtesy of Rep. Wale Raji.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, a licenced Electrical Contractor, Olufowobi Falilu, acknowledged Rep. Wale Raji for the laudable initiative.

This, he said, engendered a new level of exposure to the different opportunities ingrained in the Solar Power System.

An excited Olufowobi further asserted that the programme wouldn’t have come to fruition without the visionary thoughts of Rep. Wale Raji who not only made the program free for participants but also made provisions for certification and stipends to cater for logistics.
