Hon. Surah Animashaun Awards Bursaries to 50 Epe Students, More to Come in December
Ekohotblog reports that Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, on Friday gave bursary awards to 50 undergraduate students from the Epe community.
The event, held at the Local Government Secretariat, aimed to help students pay for their education and reduce the financial burden on their families.
In her speech, Hon. Animashaun stressed the importance of education. “We know how crucial education is for the development of our community.
This bursary is our way of supporting young people in achieving their goals.
This is just the first phase; we will be giving out more bursaries in December,” she announced.
Two of the beneficiaries, Abass Oluwafunmilayo and Ogunbiyi Afusat, expressed their appreciation for the financial help.
“This bursary will make it easier for me to focus on my studies without worrying about money,” said Oluwafunmilayo, “I really appreciate the chairman for this opportunity”she added.
Parents of the students were also thankful. “We are truly grateful to Hon. Animashaun. This support will really help us financially,” a parent said.
Community leaders at the event encouraged the students to take advantage of this opportunity and remain committed to their education.
“This is a chance for you to focus on your studies with less worry about school fees.
Make the best use of it and aim for success,” one leader advised.
Hon. Animashaun further shared that her administration would continue to support education.
“We are determined to ensure that no student in Epe is held back because of financial struggles.
“ We will keep investing in our children’s future,” she said.
