It serves as a platform where girls from diverse backgrounds — including students, out-of-school girls, and persons living with disabilities (PLWD) — are given equal opportunities to learn, grow, and explore their potential.
Speaking during the visual presentation of the project’s analysis, Hon. Animashaun described the initiative as a reflection of her administration’s belief in inclusivity and the transformative power of education.

“This is not just a programme; it is a promise — a promise to nurture the next generation of strong, confident, and visionary women who will shape the future of Epe,” she said. “Every girl deserves the chance to dream, to learn, and to lead.”
The analysis revealed that participation in the project was a balanced blend of online and offline applications, ensuring that no girl was left out due to lack of digital access.
The selection process was also inclusive, drawing participants from various community clusters such as youth groups, student associations, and organizations representing persons living with disabilities.
According to the organizers, the Epe Girls Explorer Space was designed to foster creativity, confidence, and leadership among participants while promoting a culture of equality and empowerment.
Community stakeholders praised the initiative for its far-reaching impact, noting that it aligns with the broader goals of the Lagos State Government to promote girl-child education and gender inclusion at the grassroots level.
The event’s closing message captured the spirit of the initiative: “The Epe Girls Explorer Space has gone beyond being a programme; it has become a movement — a movement to build a stronger, more empowered generation of Epe girls, one step at a time.”
