Hon. Surah Olayemi Animashaun Receives Prestigious Award
Ekohotblog reports that in a powerful show of recognition, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, was celebrated with an Outstanding Performance Award on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The award was presented by the Country Women’s Association of Nigeria (COWAN) during a vibrant event at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, Ita-Marun.

The occasion was marked by the arrival of COWAN’s leadership, the Centre For International Private Enterprise (CIPE), and their partner, Camelia Bulat, from the United States.
Together, they engaged in a dynamic interactive session with female farmers, artisans, and other women from Epe, focusing on strategies to strengthen and expand the local economy.
COWAN’s National Chairman, Princess Adeshola Ogunleye, presented the award, commending Hon. Animashaun for her transformative leadership that has touched every corner of Epe.
Ogunleye highlighted the chairman’s exceptional support for women in various trades and professions, which led to the unanimous decision to honor her.
“We’ve heard countless stories of your remarkable leadership since you took office, particularly your dedication to uplifting farmers, traders, artisans, and women.
It’s with great pride that we present you with this award and welcome you as a National Executive of COWAN. Your impact on the lives of the people in this Local Government is truly outstanding,” Ogunleye remarked.
