In an interview with Eko Hot Blog during the joyous Eid-Al-Fitr festivities, Hon. Abiodun Tobun outlined ambitious plans for the growth and development of Epe, promising a brighter future for the community.
Tobun shared insights into the infrastructure projects and upgrades in the pipeline while addressing the media outlet.

Highlighting the need for traffic decongestion, Tobun stated, “Traffic off that Lekki-Epe Expressway and redistribute the traffic, and let those who are coming to Epe, to Ijebu Ode, to eastern parts come to that express and come out at Eleran Igbe.”
He emphasized the importance of expanding the community and developing estates along the axis, saying, “Our mission is to expand their community, that is why we have virgin land so that there can be development of estates along that axis, so that instead of making Lagos congested, people can come to that area and live happily.”
Tobun also revealed plans to fix roads in need of repair, including those in Imobido, Idasho, and Ileege, stating, “We are equally planning for fixing roads that need to Tiye, Imobido, Idasho, Ileege.”
In a significant development, Tobun announced that the Epe General Hospital is set to be upgraded to a tertiary hospital and a federal medical center, with approval granted by the President of Nigeria. “The President of the Republic of Nigeria, through the support of the Minister of Finance, Epe General Hospital is going to be upgraded to a tertiary hospital, and that is, it’s going to be a federal medical center,” he said.
Additionally, Tobun highlighted plans to upgrade facilities at the technical college, stating, “We’re planning to upgrade the facility in a technical college. We have liaised with the board of technical education on the need to improve on the facilities so as to produce candidates that can stand the test of time, that can be very employable at the free trade zone.”
