Hon. Wale Raji: Celebrating An Impactful Leader And Community Developer

In a world filled with bad faith actors, it’s always refreshing to find kind people. One such person is Hon. Wale Raji, a member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency.

As the lawmaker turns a year older today, December 12, 2023, it’s another opportunity to extol the rich virtues of his purposeful leadership. Eko Hot Blog acknowledges his giant strides in facilitating transformative development and catering to people’s welfare, which earned him an unprecedented third term in office.

Since June 2015, when Hon. Raji was sworn into office to represent the people of Epe Federal Constituency, his uncommon representation has been felt throughout the length and breadth of the constituency.

From facilitating the construction/rehabilitation of long-forgotten roads to ensuring a conducive learning environment for students, the lawmaker’s positive influence has been widely felt in Epe.

In terms of transformative projects, Hon. Raji, in November, unveiled 86 free shops he facilitated at the Mojoda Market in Eredo LCDA, Epe Division, Lagos State. According to the lawmaker, the move was to strengthen Epe’s economy, as market traders are the backbone of the informal sector.

The same day, the NASS member inaugurated a healthcare facility in Iraye, emphasising his commitment to the welfare of his people.

The lawmaker stated that the lack of any public healthcare center in Iraye prompted him to facilitate the construction of one in the community. Residents had to travel long distances to access healthcare. After the delivery of the primary healthcare centre, residents now have access to healthcare.

Keeping with his tradition of facilitating projects that positively impact his constituents, Hon. Raji also commissioned the Shiwola Road in Odosiwola, a strategic road connecting around 10 communities to the Epe-Ijebu Ode Express Road. The road was in poor condition, but it is now accessible, in good condition, and fitted with solar street lights to boost nightlife and security in that axis.

Apart from capital projects, the lawmaker runs the Elders Welfare Scheme, a long-standing programme that regularly provides relief to senior citizens in Epe Federal Constituency.

In April 2023, several seniors in Epe showered praises on Hon. Raji for paying them their allowances from January to March 2023. Also, in June 2023, in the buildup to the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Eko Hot Blog monitored the lawmaker’s aides as they went from house to house to donate N10,000 cash gifts to elders

“The journey he [Hon. Raji] will go and not come back, God will protect him from embarking on it,” an elderly man prayed in an interview with Eko Hot Blog.

For Hon. Raji’s countless positive contributions to the development, progress, and welfare of his constituents, he deserves to be celebrated. Today, we join his friends and family to wish him a fulfilled and joyful birthday celebration.
